To All the Boys I've Loved Before's Lana Condor made her movie career debut as the X-Men character Jubilee/Jubilation Lee in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse, though her screen time was limited. Now a more established actor, she's hoping to reprise the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“I think that now is a really good time, and I would really like to do her justice, because she didn’t have it five years ago and I don’t think ever has," Condor told The Wrap of her time playing the young hero-in-training. "She’s a fantastic character, and now, I think, is the perfect time to give her what she deserves, so I would love to go back and do something with her."

Condor also said that while at the Vanity Fair Oscar party she spoke about Jubilee to some filmmakers in attendance, telling them, "'Hey -- don’t forget. Don’t sleep on her.'"

The film rights to the X-Men were acquired by Disney when the studio bought 21st Century Fox's movie library in early 2019. While it hasn't been announced when the mutant heroes and villains will be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige says it will happen... eventually.

Condor's role in X-Men: Apocalypse was her first appearance in a feature film. She went on to gain major popularity from her starring role in Netflix's To All the Boys I've Loved Before film trilogy, the second chapter of which released on Feb. 14. The series' third installment, To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean, is currently in post-production, though it doesn't yet have a release date.
