Though Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter enjoyed filming Netflix's The Defenders, she doesn't believe the ensemble series will get a second season.

"Well, I think Jessica was pretty well received. People were excited to see her again, so that made us happy because Jessica [Jones] is the next up," Ritter told Vulture. "Y’know, I had a great time doing The Defenders and honestly, it was such a good experience that I would even do it again. I don’t think we are doing it again."

The Defenders saw New York's street-level vigilantes join forces to fight the Hand, with everyone -- even Jessica -- returning to their lives in the big city with a greater ambition to fight crime. Though Ritter seemed to indicate that Netflix will be sticking to solo shows, she didn't rule out the possibility of another team up.

"It was never intentioned to do it again, but, you know, if I was given another opportunity, I would," she said. "My heart is with my show because of the subject matter and because of the great drama that we get to do and the personal issues that we explore. For me, that is more the type of content that I enjoy as a viewer and as a performer. My heart is in Jessica Jones, but I did have a great time doing The Defenders with the guys. We had a good time. It is what it is."

Jessica Jones Season 2 will be the first to follow The Defenders, with Luke Cage Season 2 arriving in June, Iron First prepping for its second season and Daredevil's Season 3 production underway. Marvel’s Jessica Jones will return for a second season on March 8. The character was last seen in Marvel’s The Defenders, which is available now on Netflix.
