Syfy's live-action prequel series, Krypton, explores the untold history of Superman's doomed homeworld, decades before its eventual destruction with the Houses of El and Zod at its core.
A new motion poster for the upcoming second season features a fiery split between Seg-El, Kal-El's eventual grandfather, and longtime Superman villain General Dru-Zod, who traveled back in time during the first season.

Over the course of the first season, the characters discover that Dru-Zod is actually the future son of Seg-El and Lyta-Zod, effectively making the villain the half-brother of Jor-El and Superman's uncle. On the loose in Krypton's relative past, Zod changes history in an attempt to stop Superman from ever coming into existence putting him on a collision course with his father and the time-traveling Adam Strange.
Syfy has not yet announced a premiere date for Season 2 of the series but the first season is expected to be available to stream on DC Universe sometime next month.
Returning in 2019 on Syfy, Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange, Georgina Campbell as Lyta-Zod, Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex, Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Ian McElhinney as Val-El and Blake Ritson as Brainiac.
