Krypton originally aired on SYFY for two seasons between 2018 and 2019. It starred Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Superman's grandfather, and introduced many familiar elements from the DC comics such as Brainiac, Doomsday, Adam Strange and Lobo. However, SYFY eventually canceled Krypton in August 2019, with the network also passing on a planned spinoff starring Lobo.

The synopsis for Krypton can be found below.

Set two generations before the destruction of Superman's home planet, Krypton follows Seg-El, the Man of Steel's grandfather, as he's confronted by a time-traveler from our Earth, Adam Strange, who gives Seg an impossible choice: save his home planet or let it be destroyed in order to restore the fate of his future grandson. With Krypton's leadership in disarray, Seg must balance the quest to redeem his family's honor and protect the ones he loves while being challenged by legendary DC villains Doomsday, Brainiac and Lobo.

Developed by David S. Goyer, Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange, Georgina Campbell as Lyta-Zod, Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex, Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Ian McElhinney as Val-El and Blake Ritson as Brainiac.
