Last week, the Superman prequel series Krypton was canceled by Syfy after only two seasons. Today, showrunner Cam Welsh shared his thoughts about the show's premature end in a way that gives thanks to the fans and everyone involved with the show's production.On his personal Twitter account, Welsh released a three-page statement regarding the cancellation, thanking the fans for their dedication to the show.RELATED: Zod's Ultimate Fate On Krypton Is Worse Than the Phantom Zone

Welsh also sang the praises of the cast and crew, applauding the stars of the show for their performances, and said the post and VFX team made him "believe the impossible was possible."

Welsh also mentioned the planned Lobo spinoff, which would have seen Emmett J. Scanlan reprise his role as the Main Man. He claimed the project is far from dead, but that he'll talk about that more in another post.

At the end of the statement, Welsh thanked to series developer David S. Goyer and gave fans a reminder that "the story of Krypton is not how [they] died, but how [they] lived," and ended with the hope that Rao's grace will be their shield.

There is a silver lining to all this. Warner Horizon plans to shop both Krypton and Lobo around to other channels, thus potentially reviving both projects.
