Syfy is currently working on a spinoff of its pre-Superman series, Krypton, starring the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo. The Main Man is slated to make his debut in Season 2 of Krypton.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it is unclear if Emmett J. Scanlan, who plays Lobo on Krypton, will reprise the role for the spinoff series. The site claims the project is currently in the development stage, but if the script moves to the pilot stage, the network would look to reach a deal with Scanlan.

Lobo hails from the planet Czarnia, which was a peaceful planet until he murdered the rest of his species. There was a report in February of last year that Warner Bros. was eyeing a Lobo origin movie by director Michael Bay.

He's been in the studio's sights since at least 2009, when Guy Ritchie was attached to direct. By 2012, however, he had left the project, to be succeeded by Brad Peyton, who intended to reunite with Journey 2: The Mysterious Island star Dwayne Johnson. But the action star dropped out the following year, and plans for a live-action Lobo movie fell apart. However, the project sprang back to life in March 2016, with the hiring of Fuchs (Wonder Woman).
