Krypton was cancelled by Syfy, but star Cameron Cuffe has another comic book role in mind: the Marvel Cinematic Universe's incarnation of Cyclops.

On Twitter, entertainment news writer Thomas Polito joked that Marvel Studios cast Cuffe to replace Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier. In response, Cuffe remarked that "Sebastian Stan is doing a great job" in the role. What's more, he revealed his dream MCU role would be the X-Men character Cyclops.

Disney completed its acquisition of Fox this past March, which brings the X-Men franchise to Marvel Studios. Since then, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has hinted the studio has plans to introduce the X-Men to the MCU, though he hasn't announced any specific projects.

Following Krypton's cancellation by Syfy earlier this month, Cuffe expressed gratitude for his chance to star in the DC Comics adaptation. For two seasons, he played Seg-El, the future grandfather of Superman. Warner Horizons, the television production company behind the series, is reportedly shopping the show around to other networks for a potential third season.

Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange, Georgina Campbell as Lyta-Zod, Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex, Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Ian McElhinney as Val-El and Blake Ritson as Brainiac.
