The brains at "iZombie" have big news for fans of executive producer Rob Thomas' previous TV series, "Veronica Mars." As revealed by Entertainment Weekly, the CW series will see another "Veronica Mars" alum come on board in a guest role -- and this time it's Veronica Mars herself.

"iZombie" series lead Rose McIver revealed that Kristen Bell will play a role in the eleventh episode of the series' second season. The episode, winkingly titled "Fifty Shades of Grey Matter," will see Liv (McIver) consume the brain of a young librarian who moonlighted as an erotic fiction writer. Bell will provide a voiceover for the episode, a role usually filled by McIver, and EW notes that the specific details on how the "Frozen" voice actress further fits into the story "are being kept under wraps.

Before Bell, "Mars" actors Ryan Hansen, Percy Daggs III, David Starzyk, Adam Rose and Daran Norris have also appeared on "iZombie." You can check out McIver's video message to fans announcing Bell's guest appearance below. "iZombie" returns to the CW on January 12.

The "iZombie" episode "Fifty Shades of Grey Matter" is slated to air on the CW on January 26, 2016.
