Marvel and ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is officially in production on its upcoming fifth season, and while not much is known outside of the fact that we'll see our agents in space this time around, it appears the Kree may return for an undisclosed episode -- or episodes -- this season.

Some eagle-eyed fans spotted what appears to be an actor donning the Kree makeup in a recent Instagram post by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennet, who accidentally captured the actor in the background of a video of her goofing off alongside co-stars Natalia Cordova Buckley, who plays Yo-Yo Rodriguez, and Jemma Simmons actress Elizabeth Henstridge.

Although the Kree have appeared on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. numerous times over the show's first four seasons, their last appearance on the series was during the show's third season. With the show's fourth season having turned its focus to Robbie Reyes, otherwise known as Ghost Rider, the Kree were seemingly put on the back burner. However, with the show having since taken the agents off-world, the return of the blue-skinned aliens makes total sense, especially ahead of Inhumans, which will launch on ABC this September after the first two episodes make their debut in IMAX.

Returning January, 2018 on ABC, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Chloe Bennet as Daisy “Quake” Johnson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie and more.
