New set photos from Sony's Kraven the Hunter film reveal our best look yet at Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Spider-Man villain, though his fashion sense is decidedly more subtle than that of his comic book counterpart.A number of snapshots from the set of Kraven the Hunter recently surfaced on Twitter. One pair of photos was evidently taken while Taylor-Johnson was filming a chase scene, as he appears to be in a full sprint. However, in lieu of Kraven's iconic tiger head vest and leopard skin pants from the comics, the actor is sporting black dress pants and a white dress shirt. The most overtly "Kraven" thing about the outfit is that he appears to be wearing some sort of animal claw (or fang) on a necklace.RELATED: Kraven the Hunter Set Photo Offers First Look at the Spider-Man Villain

In the chase scene photos, Taylor-Johnson is also wearing a pair of flesh-colored toe shoes. In all likelihood, though, Kraven is actually barefoot in this scene (as he often is in the comics) and the shoes were just used for filming and will be digitally removed during post-production. After all, a separate set of photos finds Taylor-Johnson wearing the same outfit, only this time, he is completely barefoot, holding a pair of black dress boots in one hand and a suit jacket in the other. This particular photoset reveals another fairly subtle outfit for Kraven in the form of a black t-shirt and green cargo pants.

It remains to be seen if the Kraven the Hunter film will give Taylor-Johnson's Marvel character a comics-accurate getup, though the prospect seems likely. That being said, it could be awhile before we actually get a look at it. Notably, Kraven made a silhouetted, multiversal cameo in Sony and Marvel Studios' 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: No Way Home, with the aforementioned tiger head vest being unmistakably present.

Due for release on Jan. 13, 2023, Kraven the Hunter is slated to be the fourth big-screen entry in Sony's franchise of live-action Marvel spinoff films starring members of Spider-Man's rogues gallery, following 2018's Venom, 2021's Venom: Let There Be Carnage and this year's Morbius. Kraven the Hunter will itself be followed up by Madame Web, which is scheduled to release in theaters on July 7, 2023.

In addition to Taylor-Johnson as the title character, Sony's Kraven the Hunter stars Fred Hechinger as Dmitri Smerdyakov/the Chameleon, a fellow Spider-Man villain and Kraven's half-brother; and Ariana DeBose as Calypso, a voodoo priestess with ties to Kraven; and Christopher Abbott as the Foreigner, a Spider-Man villain who will serve as the film's main antagonist. Additionally, Russell Crowe and Levi Miller have been cast in undisclosed roles, with Alessandro Nivola set to play an undisclosed antagonist.
