Universal and Legendary Pictures have debuted the first trailer for "Krampus," the holiday horror comedy from director Michael Dougherty (“Trick ‘r Treat”).

Starring Adam Scott and Toni Collette, the film tells the story of young Max (Emjay Anthony), who turns his back on Christmas when his dysfunctional family clashes during the holidays. However, little does he know that his lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus, a demonic force of ancient evil that punishes non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on monstrous lives of their own, forcing the fractured family to unite in a fight for survival.

Also starring Allison Tolman, David Koechner and Stefania Owen, "Krampus" opens Dec. 4.
