The Kramers Ergot anthology, edited by Sammy Harkham, has had an irregular publication history, with long spaces between volumes and a different publisher every few years. The oversized Kramers Ergot 7, which stood almost two feet tall, was released in 2008 by Buenaventura Press, and Kramers Ergot 8 came out in 2012 from the now-defunct art publisher PictureBox.

So it's big news that a new volume is on the way, this time from Fantagraphics.

The blog justindiecomics caught the Amazon listing, which has a publication date of March 2016. The full-color, 250-page book boasts a list of contributors that includes Michael DeForge, Julia Gfrörer, Kim Deitch, Kevin Huizenga and Renee French.

There doesn't seem to have been any official announcement yet, although it was mentioned at The Comics Journal blog, where former PictureBox Publisher Dan Nadel remarked, "Cat’s outta the bag on the next Kramers Ergot, but I know that the cat will change moods and the bag will change colors." Perhaps that's Dan's way of saying "Cover not final"?
