This is the latest in a feature where I just share some bit of comic book history that interests me. Here is a collection of all of the installments in the feature so far.

In the Incredible Hulk #272 (by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema), Bruce Banner gained the ability to transform into the Hulk while retaining his Banner intellect. He then got a pardon from President Reagan and became a more traditional superhero (even being offered a spot on the Avengers, which he declined since he also wanted to be able to do some scientific research with his returned intellect).

Eventually, he began to lose control of the Hulk. Read on to see the clever way they showed that devolution.

In the corner boxes of each issue (the corner boxes are drawn by Al Milgrom), we see Hulk slowly lose control a little bit more each issue until he's a total savage Hulk by #300.

The Tumblr Hulk365 has a gif of all the corner boxes, done flipbook style...

Pretty cool, right?
