"Game of Thrones" producers and stars insisted for months that Jon Snow was dead following the brutal events of the Season 5 finale. Although star Kit Harington was sworn to secrecy about his character's fate, he of course told his parents and his girlfriend, "Game of Thrones" alum Rose Leslie, and maybe a few other "trusted people."

But other than that, he told no one ... well, except for that one police officer.

Appearing Friday on "The Tonight Show," Harington revealed he was pulled over for speeding by a cop, who just happened to be a "Game of Thrones" fan. "He said, 'Look, there are two ways we can do this: You can either follow me back to the police station now and I book you in, or you can tell me whether you live in the next series of "Game of Thrones."'"

The actor conceded he laughed, but quickly realized the officer wasn't joking. "He said, 'I have to tell you, whether I take you into the police station depends on what your answer is,'" Harington recalled. "So I looked at him and went, 'I-I'm alive next season.' And he goes, he says, 'Hm-mm. On your way, Lord Commander. Keep the speed down this far south of the Wall.'"

Oh, like you wouldn't have done the same thing ...
