Even those who want to rock and roll all night and party every day know when the end is coming.

As the legendary rock band KISS prepares for its One Last Kiss: End of the Road World Tour, Dynamite Entertainment has announced a new series titled KISS: The End, which will celebrate the band's 45 years of recording and performing while also telling an original story that will incorporate pieces of the band's history and elements from  the actual tour.

Returning writer Amy Chu, who helped launch the Dynamite Kiss series in 2016, will be joined by artist Edu Menna (Twilight Zone, ZNation) and letterer Troy Peteri (Amazing Spider-Man, Witchblade), who promise an epic story worthy of the band's legacy.

"I'm totally stoked to be back on KISS, especially for the final tour," Chu said in a statement. "I'll be incorporating parts of the actual tour and KISS history into the storyline and expect lots of Easter eggs!"

"I've listened to KISS since my teenage years and their Unplugged album is a favorite," Menna added. "I've followed Amy's work and have had 'envy' of artist who partnered with her...finally my turn arrived! I always try to bring something new for each project. In this work I want to use my style combined with the elegance of the European masters. I hope fans enjoy what we're putting together."

Fans will have a choice between multiple covers, including those by artist Stuart Sayger (Kiss: Blood and Stardust), Jorge Fornes (Batman, Magnus), Denis Medri (Red Hood/Arsenal) and covers featuring classic KISS photos.

Here is the official synopsis from Dynamite:

A young man finds himself possibly dead and wrangling with some of life's most eternal questions. It's a good thing he runs into Death, who sets him on a path to track down their own demon offspring. His prophetic guides in this quest are none other than the otherworldly KISS - The Starchild, The Demon, The Spaceman and The Catman. Their help will be needed, with plenty of peril along the way.

KISS: The End #1 will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors’ February 2019 Previews catalog and is slated for release in April.
