Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are close to signing deals to star in the second season of FX's Fargo, Deadline reports.

The two will play the Blomquists, a small-town couple struggling with issues of identity. Dunst (Spider-Man) will play Peggy, a local hairdresser and big-city-dreamer; Plemons (Breaking Bad) will portray her butcher's assistant husband Ed, a man who doesn't quite get his wife's quest for self-improvement.

Set in 1979, the 10-episode season will follow Vietnam veteran and State Police Officer Lou Solverson (portrayed in the first season by Keith Carradine) as he tries to solve an "true crime" case. The new mystery will unfold in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Luverne, Minnesota. Despite those American locations, the show will begin production in Calgary in January.

Dunst and Plemons are not the only actors that have signed up for the next go-round in FX's anthology drama. Fargo recently cast Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan and is reportedly courting Nick Offerman for a role.
