Kirkman's Super Dinosaur Stomps to SDCC as Exclusive Action Figure Set

CBR can exclusively reveal that Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard’s Super Dinosaur is stomping over to Comic-Con International in San Diego as a limited-edition figure set.

The figure set consists of Super Dinosaur's two main characters: Derek Dynamo and his T-Rex best friend Super Dinosaur. As part of a limited run, only 500 Super Dinosaur figure sets exist, and each one has a holo-foil sticker that lists the number in the series 1-500. They will retail for $50 a piece at Skybound’s SDCC booth.

Super Dinosaur focuses on the adventures of 10-year-old genius Derek Dynamo and his best friend Super Dinosaur, a nine-foot-tall tyrannosaurus rex who loves to play video games. The dino suits up in a variety of exoskeletons that allow his shorter arms to control much larger ones, often fitted with missiles, lasers and all the tools necessary to help take down evildoers. The pair work to protect inner-earth, where SD originated and other sentient dinosaurs live, from Max Maximus, who wants to use the prehistoric creatures and dynore (a mineral found only in that land) for nefarious reasons.

Comic-Con International in San Diego runs Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21.
