Baymax and Hiro from Big Hero 6 arrive in the new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III, released by Square Enix ahead of the kickoff next week of Tokyo Game Show.

Of course, the addition of Baymax should come as no surprise, as Square Enix announced in 2015 at Disney's D23 Expo that San Fransokyo, the setting of Big Hero 6, would be the backdrop for a new adventure in the game. Although at the time we saw concept art of Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora flying on the back of Baymax, this footage is the first we've seen of the Big Hero 6 characters in action.

In addition to Baymax and Hiro, the trailer offers fleeting glimpses of Go Go Tomago, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred.

Based on the team of Marvel Comics heroes, Disney's 2014 animated feature Big Hero 6 follows robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada who, with the help of Baymax, the inflatable healthcare robot created by his late brother, and his brother's friends, saves the city from a masked villain.

The film earned an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, and inspired a television follow-up, Big Hero 6: The Series, which airs on Disney XD.

Kingdom Hearts III will be released Jan. 29 for PlayStation 4.
