King in Black will see Marvel's heroes dueling the God of the Symbiotes Knull, and Kate Pryde and her Marauders are getting in on the action.
King in Black: Marauders #1 features the X-Men team battling Knull's forces as they attempt to help victims of the invasion. The series will see Marauders writer Gerry Duggan uniting with artist Luke Ross (Star Wars: Darth Maul). Russell Dauterman (War of the Realms) provides the cover, which features Kate and her Mauraders facing off against Knull's symbiote dragons.
"This is my first time drawing the Marauders and working with Gerry Duggan, and I’m thrilled to be helping him tell this story! Gerry had the sensitivity, in the midst of the horror of such a dark moment that the event King in Black brought to the Marvel Universe, to write a story that praises the humanitarian side of these powerful mutant heroes," Ross said in a statement.

King in Black writer Donny Cates has said that the X-Men play a large role in the event, particularly the first issue. The X-Men have also been involved in other Marvel events, including Empyre and the currently ongoing X of Swords crossover running through the X-Men titles.
King in Black: Marauders #1 by writer Gerry Duggan and artist Luke Ross goes on sale in February 2021 from Marvel.
