The popular anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is getting its own film, continuing the story from the series' recently concluded first season.
Following the events of Season 1, Tanjirou, Zenitsu and Inosuke board the Infinite Train to find the master Demon Slayer Kyoujourou Rengoku to train and join the Demon Slaying Corps. However, once aboard, they find themselves in the middle of a clandestine plot full of action and intrigue. The official Japanese Twitter page unveiled the film's trailer, with a dubbed version also appearing on YouTube.
Based on the manga series of the same name by Koyoharu Gotōge, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows a young boy named Tanjiro Kamado whose family is slaughtered by demons. With his sister Nezuko turning into a demon, Tanjiro sets out to find a cure for her while preventing others from befalling the same monstrous tragedy.
The anime series concluded its first season this month, with an English dub slated to premiere on Toonami on October 12. The upcoming film will pick up where the first season left off by adapting the manga's "Infinite Train" story arc.
New subtitled episodes of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba air Saturdays on Hulu, Crunchyroll and other anime streaming services.
