Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Connie Ray (The Big C) have joined the cast of Kim Possible, the live-action Disney Channel Original Movie based on the animated series.

Airing from 2002 to 2007 on the Disney Channel, Kim Possible centered on the eponymous teen, who navigated the pitfalls of high school while also fighting such villains as Drakken and Shego, with help of Ron and his naked mole-rat Rufus. Newcomer Sadie Stanley, 16, will play as Kim and The Goldbergs star Sean Giambrone, 18, has been cast as Ron.

Hannigan will play brain surgeon Dr. Ann Possible, otherwise known as Kim Possible's mom or Mom Possible, while Ray will portray Nana Possible.

In addition, Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys) and Taylor Ortega will play the villains Drakken and Shego, respectively. Ciara Wilson (OMG) has been cast as a student new to Kim's high school, and Erika Tham (Make It Pop) is on board as Kim's longtime frenemy, Bonnie.

The movie is written by Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley, who created the original animated series, along with Josh Cagan and Zanne Devine. Kim Possible will premiere sometime in 2019.
