WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Season 3 of Killing Eve.

Killing Eve has deconstructed the entire MI6 team over three seasons and following Villanelle's escapades in Rome, the team's truly broken. Eve's (Sandra Oh) marriage seems to be officially over following "Meetings Have Biscuits," not to mention there's still the dangling plot thread that is Kenny's mysterious death.

But while one would expect Eve, Carolyn and the team from online publication, Bitter Pill, to get their act together to investigate the murder properly, they just can't function. On top of that, Villanelle has been in this same spot so many times, which makes it clear that Season 3 requires all these parties involved to have some kind of parent figure because they're nothing more than a bunch of petulant, immature brats.

Eve's team gets zanier by the episode and she's leading the pack with her bizarre antics. She's down and out as an alcoholic, Niko's left her, and sadly, she's slipping back into that obsessive zone over Villanelle. Kenny was parenting her but that's been thrown out the window, which means she has no babysitter anymore. Carolyn can't even fulfill that role as she too is broken with MI6 forcing her to take time off following her son's death. Luckily, she has her daughter Geraldine at her side, but when you put them all together, it's a mix that doesn't seem to work.

When they brainstorm with Jamie and Bear, Kenny's workers, Jamie is a child preoccupied with the meeting menu, while Bear's, well, he's just so timid and kooky. At one point, Eve has to be the voice of reason to get them all to simmer down and focus, which means things are really bad. For her to be the adult, it's clear that things aren't going well Eve could do the job, though, as seen where she berates Mo, Carol's MI6 understudy, and makes him help with their investigation, but she's so unstable it's hard to see her carrying out the role as a leader on a frequent basis. That's where Bill came in in the past but as he's dead as well, leaving viewers to wonder if Eve could ever follow suit.

As for Villanelle, Konstantin has always had to oversee her because her botching jobs for the Twelve could impact on his wellbeing too. Now, Villanelle has Dasha overseeing her so she can become a Keeper, but again the assassin's back to her sloppy games. Previously, she's killed teammates and recently, she murdered her own protege, Felix, so Dasha can tell it's going to be a long road. However, even Dasha needs someone watching over her after her actions with a baby Villanelle stole. Firstly, after killing a mom and a nanny, Villanelle shouldn't be kidnapping a kid as that's evidence linking them to the crime.

Worse yet, they're out in public in Spain with the child, and when the infant pisses off Dasha, she puts the baby in a rubbish bin in plain view of everyone at a courtyard. There are so many cafes and people around, one has to wonder if Dasha's mentally fit. The fact Villanelle is laughing it up is also pretty wild because again, they're not protecting themselves. It's pure insanity and as all these characters seem to be going increasingly off the rails, they really do need caretakers if they're to succeed in their respective missions. One would think the spy game would focus on serious adults like the Bourne movies or the James Bond flicks, but here, it's the total opposite, which admittedly gives the show a quirky and unique essence.

Starring Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, Kim Bodnia, Harriet Walter, Danny Sapani, Gemma Whelan and Steve Pemberton, the third season of Killing Eve airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and BBC America.
