Fan-favorite rapper, actor and television personality Xzibit is working on an upcoming horror comic book with Rodney Barnes, the acclaimed comic book creator and screenwriter behind the hit comic series Killadelphia.

At the beginning of the year, Barnes launched his own comic book company Zombie Love Studios, with the new publisher poised to unveil three horror titles towards the end of 2021. Among the planned projects is a title that Barnes is developing with Xzibit.

"Zombie Love Studios will be the home of horror and sophisticated suspense. We plan to publish three trades in late 2021. We're hoping to announce the flagship title in the coming weeks so I can't say too much just yet, but I can tell you that I am really excited about it," Barnes told CBR. "The second [title] Crownsville is a ghost story set in a Black mental asylum located on the outskirts of my hometown of Annapolis, Maryland. The third title is Florence and Normandie a science fiction tale told by myself and actor/rapper Xzibit. I’m really looking forward to getting these stories out to the fans!"

Barnes and co-creator Jason Shawn Alexander launched Killadelphia through Image Comics in November 2019 to critical acclaim and commercial success. With Killadelphia wrapping up its second story arc and a television adaptation in development, Barnes is poised to continue expanding his foray into original horror comic book projects through his own company.

Written by Rodney Barnes and illustrated by Jason Shawn Alexander, Killadelphia Vol. 2 goes on sale March 31 from Image Comics.
