One of the most notable reasons why Kill La Kill was such a success was its strong cast of characters. Both heroes and antagonists drove the show and contributed in creating a memorable narrative that draws you in from the get-go. Aside from protagonist Ryuko, Satsuki served as one of the series’ standout characters.

Though she was initially introduced as the series main antagonist, it became clear as the show went on that there were other forces at play. Though she maintained an adversarial role for most of the series, Satsuki would become Kill La Kill’s deuteragonist towards the end of the show. A popular character among fans, here are some amazing works of Satsuki fan art any Kill La Kill fan has to see.

10 Ojou-Sama - シャア!

In stark contrast to her younger sister, Satsuki is very composed, calculating and always carries herself with an air of dignity. Her behaviour suits her look, and she very much embodies the upper echelon of society she’s shown to rule over.

シャア!does a very nice job of capturing those traits with the above portrait. The focus on Satsuki perfectly highlights her confidence and poise. It’s a great looking piece of fan art and a great way to get things started.

9 Casual Look – kbys

With how Satsuki is portrayed throughout the show, fans don’t really get to see her cutting loose. It makes sense, since she doesn’t really have the luxury of being able to cut loose throughout the story. But this piece from kbys presents fans with a different side to Satsuki.

Here we see a more casual and relaxed Satsuki looking somewhat reserved – which isn’t typical behaviour for her at all. But that’s what adds to the charm of this piece. The colors are simple, but pop out beautifully and really help it all come together.

8 Confidence Kills - 手枷

Satsuki carries both herself and those around her to a very high standard. She’s dignified but also always confident in her abilities. While it could come off as cocky in some other characters, Satsuki pulls it off well.

手枷 gets this part of her characters down pat with their portrait. The brighter and sharper color shceme really grab your attention, and the look on her face says it all.

7 Transformation - しゃか@3日目西2う- 45b

Kill La Kill’s transformations may very well be its most iconic feature. The Magical Girl-esque sequences burst with bright visuals, fantastic music and stunning artwork. For many, it’s a series highlight.

しゃか@3日目西2う- 45b draws Satsuki right before a transformation here and it looks absolutely great. They really do a great job of capturing the sequence as it starts and the art is incredibly faithful to the original.

6 Bakuzan - オツリ

Bakuzan is Satsuki’s go-to weapon of choice, and the two paired together are a force to be reckoned with. オツリ manages to make the sword a highlight of their work here, and it certainly helps it stand out from other works of fan art as a result.

Satsuki’s pose, as well as the way that this is drawn feels reminiscent of an old Samurai film. You can certainly see those influences in the show, and the artist does a great job of bringing it out here.

5 Fighting Spirit - あまひこ

Yet another shot featuring Satsuki and her trusted Bakuzan, this time with a little more urgency compared to the last piece.

あまひこ shows us Satsuki mid-fight, and while the art is impressive, what stands out here isn’t Satsuki but her weapon. The white spatter-like design coating the blade immediately grabs your attention, as does the intensity and urgency the artist manages to display on Satsuki’s face.

4 All Angles - 手枷

This next piece of fan art seems like it could’ve been concept art – albeit very detailed and finished concept art. Rather than choosing one look, pose or design, 手枷 goes with a whole bunch.

The results are phenomenal. Be it Satsuki’s profile, her in Junketsu or Junketsu Override, everything about this fan art jumps out.

3 Alternate Look – MIYO

For a brief period of time, Sastuki and Ryuko swapped Kamui’s. Though it was short-lived, the Satsuki-Senketsu combo was a pretty memorable one – if only because of the variety it offered in visuals.

MIYO pays tribute to this design with their work, and really knocks it out of the park. Their art style perfectly suits the character, and they manage to create a Satsuki that more so resembles her younger sister’s demeanor.

2 Head-On – obli

The rivalry between Satsuki and Ryuko was one of Kill La Kill’s highlights. The two fighting on screen was always a good time, and obli does a nice job here of depicting the bout as it kicks off.

You can really feel the intensity and energy from the show in this piece. It’s a great job by a talented fan who obviously knows the series well.

1 If Looks Could Kill - 緋潔(FJ)

緋潔(FJ) rendition of Satsuki is softer, yet doesn’t lack the impact that any of the other pieces on this list had. The muted colors are a nice touch and add a sort of gentleness to the piece.

Though you’ll find a lot of Kill La Kill fan art that focuses on the series’ more energetic sequences, simple portraits like this can be just as impactful.
