Director Jeff Wadlow's Kick-Ass 2 has a lot of costumed goodness to offer theatergoers when it premieres next month. The film sees the return of Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the title hero as well as Chloe Moretz as Hit-Girl, Christopher Mintz-Plasse's renamed Motherfucker and even Clark Duke's Marty getting in on the hero action as Battle Guy. The film, based on Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.'s comics, also brings in new characters like Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes, and Donald Faison as Doctor Gravity.

Collider gathered together the following clips featuring Hit-Girl racing her guardian -- played by Morris Chestnut -- home, Ferris Beuller-style, and a Justice Forever meeting where Clark Duke's Battle Guy fakes an origin story to Kick-Ass, Colonel Stars and Stripes and the gang.

Collider also got a new batch of stills from the film featuring Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, Lindy Booth and Faison. Kick-Ass 2 opens Aug. 16.
