It was only a matter of time before a Kick-Ass 2 green-band trailer was released. Although the initial trailer focused on the bad language and intense violence that make Kick-Ass what it is, a new look at the film has been released that is a bit more toned down. In fact, it's pretty much the same as the first teaser, except appropriate for a general audience.

That said, there are still a few "bitch" comments thrown in, and there's plenty of action. The green-band trailer highlights how Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl are getting back in the superhero scene with only a few tastes of what high school life is like for them. The previous trailer made it seem like Hit-Girl was having some trouble fitting in to normal life, but here she looks like something of a bombshell. It will be interesting to see how big a part that storyline plays in Kick-Ass 2.

Based on Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.’s miniseries and the Hit-Girl spinoff, Kick-Ass 2 picks up months after its 2010 action comedy prequel. Kick-Ass forms alliances with other local heroes and joins Justice Forever, which discovers the Red Mist -- rechristened “Motherfucker” -- is gathering his own group of villains.

Directed by Jeff Wadlow, the sequel stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Yancy Butler, Jim Carrey, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, Lindy Booth, Andy Nyman, Morris Chestnut and Robert Emms. Kick-Ass 2 opens Aug. 16.
