WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen recently hinted that there's a massive cameo/reveal coming to the series that's on par with the surprise Luke Skywalker appearance in The Mandalorian's Season 2 finale. Olsen's comment led fans to speculate who this character will be.

Filmmaker Kevin Smith shared his WandaVision cameo theory on Twitter. "I know the popular guess for the @wandavision Luke-level cameo is Pietro or Dr. Strange," he posted. "But my guess is THANOS. The Mad Titan killed Vision, so there’s a chance Wanda might wanna try to kill him again, like she almost did in Infinity War. Could be... inevitable."

Thanos last appeared in Avengers: Endgame, after the Avengers found a way to steal back the infinity stones and 'snap' the missing half of the universe back into existence. However, Tony Stark's snap ended up blipping Thanos out of existence. At this time, it's unclear how The Mad Titan would be able to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

WandaVision's Episode 4, "We Interrupt This Program," recently explored how blipped humans returned to life after Stark's snap. The show focused on Monica Rambeau's character returning to existence after being gone for five years. Daughter of Maria Rambeau from Captain Marvel, Rambeau returned to work, but due to her missing existence condition, she's barred from any S.W.O.R.D. mission outside of Earth's orbit. Her work restriction is what led her to meet Wanda in the first place.

Actor Paul Bettany, who stars as Vision in the MCU, recently hinted at the mysterious cameo reveal too. "You know, so many things get leaked, and people find out about certain things, but there's this thing that's been kept completely under wraps," he stated in January.

"I work with this actor that I have always wanted to work with, and we have fireworks together, and the scenes are great, and I think people will be really excited," Bettany added, noting that he probably shouldn't have said anything about it.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air Fridays on Disney+.
