Filmmaker/podcaster Kevin Smith will be taking part in a livestream film series hosted by Focus Pictures called “Focus Movie Mondays.” For Smith's livestream, he will be hosting a watch party of his 1994 film, Mallrats.

An event for the Mallrats watch party was shared on Facebook, which said it would take place on Monday, April 20, 2020. Mallrats will be shown from 5pm to 8pm EST, and Smith will likely share interesting tidbits about the film along the way.

During Focus Movie Mondays, a donation link to Entertainment Industry Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund will be provided. A full list of the films taking part in the series, including Moonrise Kingdom, Gosford Park and My Summer of Love, can be found on Focus Pictures Facebook page.

Written and directed by Smith, Mallrats told the story of T.S. Quint (Jeremy London) and Brodie Bruce (Jason Lee) spending a day at the mall after both getting dumped by their girlfriends. Mallrats would mark the second appearance of Jason Mewes' Jay and Smith's Silent Bob, who would go on to appear in many of Smith's later films.
