Kevin Smith Teases Jay and Silent Bob Reboot's New Bluntman and Chronic

With Jay and Silent Bob Reboot entering its third week of production, filmmaker Kevin Smith has shared a new behind-the-scenes look at the eagerly anticipated sequel/reboot.

On his Twitter account, Smith posted a photo from the film's set that teases the Blunt-Cave, the secret headquarters of the franchise's fictional stoner superheroes Bluntman and Chronic. Based on the likenesses of Jay and Silent Bob as seen in Chasing Amy and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, the heroes fight crime while indulging in copious amounts of drugs.

In addition to a look at the Blunt-Cave, Smith hinted that new actors would portray Bluntman and Chronic in the film. Originally, they were portrayed in-universe by Jason Biggs and James Van Der Beek as themselves in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

With the new film following Jay and Silent Bob after they learn Hollywood intends to reboot the superhero characters based on their likenesses, it has yet to be seen if the stoners will once again wield their trusty Bongsabers.

Written, directed by and starring Kevin Smith Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is expected out later this year, and also stars Jason Mewes, Jason Lee, Donnell Rawlings and more.
