Kevin Smith has offered Supergirl herself advice after Melissa Benoist and her co-star Chris Wood announced they are expecting their first child together. Alongside his congratulations and well wishes, Smith provided some geeky words of wisdom to the parents-to-be.
"My Babies are havin' a baby! Huge congrats to my Charm City cuties @melissabenoist & @christophrwood on their big, beautiful news!" he wrote via his Facebook page. "So nice to see a @thecwsupergirl and @masters crossover without any of those pesky supervillains getting in the way!" Smith then added, "I've been there since these fine folks first got together and they are as in love as a couple can get... I know they've got more than enough love to spare for their first child." He then warned them, "As a Father, the best advice I can give you two is this: Do NOT put the kid in a rocket! Love you"
Wise words indeed for Kryptonians. Smith has directed a number of Supergirl episodes, with Benoist appearing in Smith's recent Jay and Silent Bob Reboot as the rebooted version of Chronic.
