Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige provided an update on the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, which has yet to be released.

"Shang-Chi is coming out, the Eternals trailer just came out, but yes on December 17, we have the third in our Homecoming trilogy with Sony and Jon Watts and with Tom Holland," Feige said in an interview with Comicbook.com. "I can only guarantee there will be a trailer before the movie comes out."

Almost four months before the film's premiere, Disney has yet to drop a trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was reported in May 2021 that a teaser trailer for the Marvel Cinematic Universe film had been delivered to movie theaters, but nothing regarding the film has been premiered, despite its impending release in December 2021. The official Twitter account for No Way Home even trolled fans asking for the trailer, jokingly posting a photo of a tractor-trailer bearing the movie's logo.

Details about the plot of Spider-Man: No Way Home remain scarce, with much of the public's information about the film coming from leaked set photos and toy designs, like a recent Spider-Man action figure from Hot Toys donning a black, magic-powered suit. Leaked promo art from the film reportedly leans into how Mysterio's message from the previous film, Spider-Man: Far From Home, will impact the public opinion of the web-slinger, with a poster that says, "We believe Mysterio." A recent set photo also shows Tom Holland's Spider-Man meeting Doctor Strange for the first time in front of what appears to be Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum on New York City's Bleeker Street.

It's not only the audience that knows very little about the third installment of the MCU's Spider-Man trilogy but the cast as well. During a recent red carpet interview, No Way Home star Zendaya admitted, "We don't know if we're gonna' do another one; like, is it just gonna' be three and done? Normally you do three movies and that's pretty much it."

In cast-related news, Willem Dafoe recently played coy about whether or not he would reprise his Green Goblin role from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy in the upcoming MCU Phase 4 installment. This follows rumors that No Way Home would be building a live-action version of the Sinister Six, which consists of Green Goblin leading Doctor Octopus, Electro, The Sandman, The Rhino and The Lizard. Alfred Molina, who played Dr. Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy is confirmed to return for No Way Home along with Jamie Foxx's Max Dillon/Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man.

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield have also been rumored to return as their respective Spider-Mans for the film, but neither of the actors' involvement has been confirmed by Sony, Marvel or the actors themselves.

Regardless, the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home will arrive before the movie premieres in theaters on Dec. 17.
