Kevin Feige has put to rest the rumor that Deadpool's Marvel Cinematic Universe debut will be take place the third Spider-Man film.
During the London red carpet premiere for Spider-Man: Far From Home, ComicBook.com spoke with Feige about the future of the X-Men and Fox properties in the MCU. During their talk, Feige was asked about the Deadpool/Spider-Man rumor, which Feige stated in no uncertain terms have no basis in fact.
"No, I mean we're certainly having conversations about the future of all of those Fox properties," Feige said. "How to weave them in and when to weave them in. That one, in particular, is not the case."
Disney and Feige have made it clear they intend on continuing Deadpool's movie franchise. Their plans on how, or if they intend to introduce Deadpool to the MCU, however, have yet to be revealed.
Deadpool was scheduled to appear in Fox's X-Force, but Disney has since cancelled production on that film.
Of course, the Deadpool/Spider-Man rumor isn't the only rumor surrounding the third MCU Spider-Man film. One rumor stated that Tom Hardy's Venom will appear in the film, a rumor Feige did not address.
