Following comments from several Marvel Cinematic Universe supporting the introduction of Riri Williams, better known to comic readers as the superhero Ironheart, into the MCU, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has expressed his feelings on the comic book character.

Robert Downey, Jr. recently said he believes Ironheart should be introduced into the MCU as a potential replacement for Iron Man following his character's final fate in Avengers: Endgame. Now, Feige has learned of Downey's comments and has shared his own views on the teenage superhero.

"I think it’s a great character, and it’s been fun to see how she evolves in the comics. I just saw that quote, too. But again, the future…" observed Feige in an interview with BET.

That said, it's a bit early for Ironheart fans to celebrate. With the future of the MCU so tightly planned out by Feige and the various filmmakers working with Marvel Studios, it may be some time until Riri Williams is seen in the MCU, unless there are some longterm secret plans for her to make her debut already in the works for some time.
