Actor and director Kevin Costner, who played Jonathan Kent in Man of Steel, isn't entirely sure what Justice League is.

In an interview with Andy Cohen on Sirius XM, where Costner was promoting an upcoming movie with costar Diane Lane titled Let Him Go, the 65 year old actor did not hide how lost he was when asked if he would be featured in Zack Snyder's Justice League slated for next year. "I'm not even sure what Justice League is. Is that a movie?" said Costner. He later added, "You think I'm kidding. That's the problem. Is that a Marvel thing? I don't know."

Costar Diane Lane jumped in and was able to straighten things out for Costner. However, Lane left Cohen's questions unanswered and could not confirm whether the two would appear in the reshot and re-edited Justice League film. As a result, Cohen humorously suggested that maybe Clark Kent will only have a mother for the upcoming blockbuster set to release Sept. 5, 2021. Still dumbfounded, Costner struggled to retain what Lane told him. The Dances with Wolves star admitted that it would be nice to act in more lucrative superhero movies, referring to them as "money buckets."

Costner has won a number of awards over the course of his career. To date, 2013's Man of Steel and 2016's Dawn of Justice have been the only superhero films in which the actor has appeared.
