Kendrick Sampson, who played Dominic Lanse in The Flash as well as Jesse in The Vampire Diaries, has reported that he was present at protests in Los Angeles and that the police fired rubber bullets, several of which hit him.

Demonstrations have been raging in some major American cities after the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, at the hands of police in Minnesota. Sampson posted videos of the protests on his Instagram, and was seen on news footage being shot with rubber bullets and hit with police batons.

"They shot me four times already," Sampson said in one of his Instagram videos. "I already got hurt and I got hit with a baton."

In another, he showed himself at the protest, surrounded by police and fellow demonstrators: "They're telling us to disperse, but they boxed us in. That's their tactic."

The Los Angeles protest was co-organized by Sampson's own organization, Build Power. He said, “I wanted to make sure that folks weren’t getting brutalized because that’s what we do, we look out for each other. So I started a platform to make sure that people saw what was going on.”

On Season 4 of The Flash, Sampson's role was Dominic Lanse, a meta-human who was also known as Brainstorm or Subject Six. He also appeared in The Vampire Diaries as Jesse, a student turned into a vampire, and in two episodes of Supernatural. He is currently starring in HBO's Insecure.
