the stunning video for "love," directed by dave meyers and the little homies, showcases a chaotic relationship between lamar's character and a young woman who he has seemingly committed transgressions against and the road to forgiveness. as striking as the video is from start to finish, there's one key scene that is sure to grab even more attention from fans, as there's a quick tease planted in the middle of the video that would suggest lamar is involved with the soundtrack for black panther.

the reveal comes at the 1:54 mark in the video, with a clapperboard appearing with the words "b. panther soundtrack coming soon."

lamar's potential involvement in the soundtrack shouldn't come as a complete surprise, though. after all, during its comic con international in san diego presentation over the summer, marvel studios unveiled an extended look at the casino fight showcased in the film's trailer with the scene set to lamar's "dna." following the footage reveal, boseman explained how he'd thought the song was perfect for the scene, and that he'd hoped they would use it but wasn't entirely sure that they would. director ryan coogler followed up boseman's comments with the la times stating, "the lyrics are amazing -- a lot of kendrick's are."

it's unknown whether lamar is simply providing one song or more, but his involvement in the project is sure to excite many.
