Earlier this week, Marvel announced writer Kelly Thompson and artist Mattia de Lulis' would take over on Jessica Jones following the departure of co-creator Brian Michael Bendis. Due to some confusion surrounding the announcement, Thompson has now clarified the series' release schedule and provided additional information about the first comic in the Marvel Digital Originals initiative.

The series will release three 40-page issues monthly before taking a hiatus and later returning for "another 3 month 'season' after that hiatus," Thompson explained on Twitter. Thompson also noted Jessica Jones will be an ongoing series, not a three-issue miniseries.

The digital series will, according to Thompson, receive a trade paperback release by October. Following the hiatus, the creative team will remain the same, and Thompson said she's already stared work "on the equivalent of Jessica Jones issue 7."
