Following the departure of Kelly Marie Tran from Instagram after months of online harassment, the Star Wars: The Last Jedi actor has received support from director Rian Johnson and franchise icon Mark Hamill. Now fans have rallied around her on Twitter, where they've launched the hashtag #FanArtForRose to share art of Tran's character Rose Tico.From Marvel Comics artist Jen Bartel to everyday fans, they make it clear that they welcome Tran, and Rose, in the Star Wars universe.

Tran has been subjected to online vitriol from fans who objected to her character's actions in The Last Jedi. Not only had she received racist and sexist responses to her Instragram posts, who the Rose Tico entry on Wookieepedia was heavily edited to include racial slurs before it was corrected by administrators.
