Nope star Keke Palmer has thrown her support behind a recent fan who has suggested that Marvel Studios should cast the actor as X-Men Rogue.

"Come on agentttttttt," Palmer wrote in a Twitter post, hinting that her agent needs to call up Marvel to request an audition. The actor's comment was in response to another tweet, which had shared a video of a fan explaining why Palmer needed to play Rogue in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The fan had dismissed other suggested superhero castings like DC Comics' Bumblebee or fellow X-Men Storm, saying that the characters didn't fit Palmer's personality. The fan continued that "if you want [Palmer] to deliver a powerhouse lead" then Marvel needs to give her a "fun, boisterous role" like Rogue.

Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Michael Golden, Rogue first debuted in 1981's Avengers Annual #10 by Marvel Comics. Initially appearing as a villain, the character soon became associated with the superhero team the X-Men and is now considered one of its most prominent members. The character's mutant abilities allow her to absorb and sometimes remove the memories, physical strength, and superpowers of anyone she touches. While Rogue has been featured in several X-Men animated series and video games, she is mostly known for her starring role in the original live-action X-Men film series, where she was portrayed by Anna Paquin.
