Often criticized for stilted delivery and occasionally dazed appearance, you'd think that Keanu Reeves would be perfect as the lead for a movie called Generation Um, wouldn't you...?

Reeves will play the lead in what sounds like one of those movies that try and make Important Statements About Life Today (As if the title wasn't enough of a nod in that direction). According to Deadline Hollywood, the movie will follow Reeves' character "and two beautiful companions as they immerse themselves in sex, drugs and indecision." I'd like to think there'll be some kind of plot in there, as well, but I wouldn't bet on it.

The funniest part of this news for me is the idea of the movie defining any new generation. Keanu Reeves is 44 years old. Doesn't that make him part of the self-important Generation X? Shouldn't someone younger be heading up a new generational movement?
