Cyberpunk 2077 has received a lot of press for featuring man-of-the-moment Keanu Reeves. However, those hoping to take advantage of the game's robust romance options and pursue Reeves will be sorely disappointed.

During an interview with VGC at the Tokyo Game Show, CD Projekt Red level designer Max Pears stated the players will be able to romance other characters in the game, with more options available than in Witcher 3 due to expanding beyond heterosexuality and exploring all types of sexual orientation.

But one character will not be able to explore a relationship with is Reeves. Pears stated, " Keanu plays a crucial role in the game, but as for the option to romance him, I don’t believe you can."

Pears also elaborated on gender customization in the game, explaining, "We have the body type that you select and then the genitals will be determined by that. You can have a male or female voice with either body, but the genitals are defined by the body."

Developed and published by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 is set for release on April 16, 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
