As preproduction continues on The CW's planned Riverdale spinoff series Katy Keene, two characters familiar to Josie and the Pussycats fans have been cast.

Camille Hyde (American Vandal) and Lucien Laviscount (Scream Queens) have been cast to portray Alexandra and Alexander Cabot, respectively. The two siblings are wealthy New York socialites who will appear in prominent roles in the upcoming series.

Alexandra serves as the ruthlessly cunning Senior Vice President of her family's company and is something of a rival to Josie and the Pussycats frontwoman, Josie McCoy. Alexander is the kinder of the two siblings, hoping to revive the company's defunct record label while secretly spending his nights DJing in local dive bars. Because of Josie's ambitions to become of a recording artist, his interest in music puts him on her radar.

The Cabots have long been supporting characters in the various Josie and the Pussycats comic book titles from Archie Comics and its cartoon series by Hanna-Barbera. With Ashleigh Murray reprising her role as Josie on Katy Keene, it remains to be seen if other members of the Archie property's supporting cast will join the series.
