Earth-1 Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) will be making her return in the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover.Asked on Twitter for any teases about Laurel Lance in the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover or the Green Arrow and the Canaries spin-off, Arrow creator Marc Guggenheim replied, "Earth-1 Laurel in Crisis, Earth-2 Laurel in spin-off."
After having been with the series since its beginning, Earth-1 Laurel died in Season 4, episode 18, which was titled "Eleven-Fifty-Nine" after her time of death. She was later replaced by her doppelganger from Earth-2, the villainous Black Siren. In more recent seasons, Black Siren has served as something of an ally to Team Arrow.
Exactly how Earth-1 Laurel will return isn't known at this time. However, "Crisis on Infinite Earths" has already involved some amount of time travel, as versions of Mia Smoak, William Clayton and Connor Hawke have all been transported back in time on Arrow.
"Crisis on Infinite Earths" begins Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Supergirl, then continues in Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
