Kate Pryde has come a long way since she was introduced. Recruited into the X-Men as a teenager, she's been through a lot. She's changed her name multiple times, became a ninja, a trainer of young mutants, and a leader of teams. With mutantkind finally a power in the world, she's become a pirate, helping to sneak mutants out of oppressive situations and bring them to the new mutant homeland, Krakoa.

Extremely skilled and experienced, Kate is the kind of opponent that few can handle. She knows how to combine her intangibility with her fighting skills to take down her enemies. So, how would she fare against the heroes of the DC Universe? Who would she beat? Who would beat her? Find out in our list!

10 Would Lose To: Zatanna

Zatanna is a master of magic. Her father taught her the magical arts from a young age and she developed a unique means of performing magic- by talking backwards. Zatanna can make nearly anything happen by saying it backwards. She's as dangerous as she wants to be.

Kate's mutant power wouldn't be able to stop Zatanna. Zatanna doesn't even have to turn her power off, even though she could. She could merely put Kate to sleep. Kate is great at what she does, but there's really not much she could do against Zatanna, even if she had the element of surprise on her side.

9 Would Defeat: Green Arrow

Green Arrow is a master of one of humanity's oldest weapons, the bow and arrow. He uses a variety of arrows, both bladed and trick ones that feature deadly gimmicks such as explosive, boomerangs, and nets. He's also a skilled hand to hand fighter. Kate can take him, though.

Green Arrow is no slouch in the combat department and has beaten lots of people that he probably shouldn't, but with Kate, well, he's going down. She could phase through his attacks, get in close, and use her ninja training to take him down. He's good, but he's not trained by Wolverine and a demon ninja master good.

8 Would Lose To: Black Canary

There are few superheroes who can stand up to Black Canary in a straight up fight. Her hand to hand skills have allowed her to stand up to superpowered enemies and make her one of the most feared members of the Justice League. Add her canary cry, a supersonic scream, to the mix and she's one tough cookie.

It seems like Kate would be able to beat her. Her intangibility is a hard nut to crack, but it's Dinah's canary cry that will allow her to win this fight. See, it does a produce a shockwave, which wouldn't affect Kate at all because of her intangibility, but also sound. A lot of it. This would affect Kate, screwing with her concentration, causing her to go solid. This would leave her vulnerable to Canary and that would be all the chance Dinah would need to win.

7 Would Defeat: Nightwing

Dick Grayson is one of the greatest heroes in the DC Universe. A costumed vigilante since he was 10, he's been fighting crime for most of his life. He's so good, he's been Batman before, dealing with the worst Gotham City has to offer and triumphing.

Unfortunately for him, he just can't hurt Kate. Intangibility is a hard nut to crack. As good as Dick is, he couldn't figure out a way around it. Even when Kate is solid, her fighting skills allow her to block attacks with the best of them and take advantage of openings created by her parries. Nightwing is great, but Kate has his number.

6 Would Lose To: Swamp Thing

Swamp Thing can control the Green, giving him power over all the plant life on Earth. He's immensely strong and even if he's destroyed, he can just transfer his conscious to another body. Of course, very few of his abilities will help him hurt Kate. Well, mostly.

Every human has flora in their stomachs which helps in the digestion of food. Swamp Thing can control these. The amount of pain he could cause Kate would ruin her concentration. Without the ability to phase, Swamp Thing would knock her out pretty quickly.

5 Would Defeat: Cyborg

Cyborg is a powerful hero. He's superstrong, can control technology, and can tank all kinds of attacks. He's been a member of the Justice League, helping to fight the greatest threats the DC Universe has to offer. Most people would not want to face him.

Unfortunately for him, Kate's phasing ability has always been known to mess up technology. She would phase into him, wreaking havoc on his body. He would lose use of most of his body and be unable to fight. Kate's powers give her a unique advantage over Cyborg.

4 Would Lose To: Martian Manhunter

Martian Manhunter

Martian Manhunter is one of the most powerful superheroes around. He has all of Superman's powers, plus invisibility, intangibility, and telepathy. A long time member of the Justice League, he's seen the worst the universe has to offer and triumphed over it. He just has too much power for Kate.

It's his telepathy that gives him the unique advantage here. Kate was trained with and around some of the greatest telepaths ever and knows how to protect herself from them... for a little while, at least. Eventually, J'onn would breach her mental defenses, get her to go solid, and knock her out.

3 Would Defeat: Red Tornado

Red Tornado keeps an eye on the situation

Red Tornado is a cyborg empowered by a wind elemental. Created by the Justice League villain T.O. Morrow, he was meant to destroy the Justice League, but he broke his programming. He joined the team and explored what it was to be human.

Red Tornado is strong and powerful, but because of technological nature, Kate can take him down. Just like against Cyborg, she can phase through him, disrupting his circuitry. That would be it. He can't hurt her and she can pretty take him out by walking through him.

2 Would Lose To: The Flash

The Flash Evan Doc Shaner feature

The Flash is the fastest man alive. Using the Speed Force, he can move so fast that he can travel between universes, vibrate through matter, and land a thousand punches in a second. Both him and Kate can keep most enemies from hurting them indefinitely, but being fast has its advantages.

Eventually Kate has to go solid to hit the Flash and that's when he'll take advantage. Even if she's only solid for a few seconds, he can land a whole lot of shots on her in that time. Kate would go down to the flurry of blows the Flash would unleash on her.

1 Would Defeat: Batman

Batman is the kind of guy no one, not even superpowered people, want to fight. He spends a lot of his spare time figuring out ways to take on enemies with all kinds of powers. He's one of the greatest strategists in any universe.

As good as he is, Kate can take him. It would take him a bit to figure out a way to surmount her mutant ability and the whole time, she'd be striking at him. He could block a lot of her shots, but she would phase on the counterpunch. She could also go solid a bit while landed phased punches, causing Batman great pain. Being a ninja, she would take advantage of these opportunities and take the Dark Knight down.
