Guardians of the Galaxy star Karen Gillan has found her new action franchise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gillan has joined Gunpowder Milkshake, an assassin story "that spans multiple generations" and features an all-female cast.

Gillan got her break back in 2008 when she was cast as Amy Pond on Doctor Who. From there, she quickly became a rising star in Hollywood, appearing in three Marvel Studios films as Nebula and co-starring in the surprise mega-hit Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. She is slated to appear as Nebula a fourth time with the release of Avengers: Endgame in April and has plans to start shooting another Jumanji film.

Gunpowder Milkshake will come from a script written by Aharon Keshales, Navot Papushado and Ehud Lavski. Directing duties will go to Keshales and Papushado, the duo behind the 2013 Israeli film Big Bad Wolves. Gunpowder Milkshake's plot has been mostly kept under wraps but is said to feature Gillan's character as the cornerstone. Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill and Edgar Wright's Baby Driver have both been cited as examples of the tone they're going for, with buzzwords like "stylish, snappy and violent" attached.

Production on Gunpowder Milkshake will reportedly take place in Berlin this spring, after filming on the Jumanji sequel wraps up for a likely 2020 release.
