The popular The Karate Kid spin-off series Cobra Kai has featured many characters from the original franchise, but several people still haven't made an appearance. Along with familiar faces, several new characters made their debut in Cobra Kai. Viewers were introduced to the ruthless Tory Nichols -- played by Peyton List -- in Season 2, Episode 4, "The Moment of Truth."

Since Tory's introduction as a new student at Cobra Kai Dojo, much speculation has surrounded the identity of her biological parents. Although, Tory hasn't been the only character from The Karate Kid franchise to have their parentage questioned. Both Miguel and Johnny's biological fathers have not yet been revealed to viewers. Considering several characters are still missing from Cobra Kai, one of them could be Tory's biological father or mother.

Julie Pierce Still Hasn't Appeared in Cobra Kai

Julie-Pierce-and-Mr-Miyagi--The-Next-Karate-Kid-1

Julie Pierce -- played by Hilary Swank -- was the main protagonist in the 1994 film The Next Karate Kid. Mr. Miyagi met Julie after he visited his commanding officer's widow -- who was Julie's grandmother and caretaker after her parents died in a tragic car accident. Julie has not yet made her Cobra Kai debut, and nothing has been revealed as to what happened to her after the events of The Next Karate Kid. This theory could make sense considering Tory's prior knowledge of karate before she joined Cobra Kai.

John Kreese Could Be Two Characters' Father

Cobra Kai John Kreese

Tory isn't the only cold-hearted character in Cobra Kai. John Kreese is back after faking his death and is as merciless as ever. Viewers learned a little more about Kreese's backstory in Cobra Kai, especially his military service in the Vietnam War. Despite the reveal of more information about Kreese's past, much mystery still surrounds the character. Theories have spread about Kreese being the biological father of both Johnny and Tory. Kreese particularly showed a soft spot for Tory, which could indicate their relation. Although, Kreese could just see a lot of himself in Tory, considering how skilled she is.

Dutch Being Tory's Father Is Pretty Believable

Dutch was a member of the original Cobra Kai gang, along with Johnny, Bobby, Tommy and Jimmy. Dutch was known for his aggressive nature, which even landed him in juvenile detention. When the ex-Cobra Kai students reunited in Season 2, Dutch's incarceration at Lompoc Federal Prison explained his absence from the reunion.

Dutch carried his criminal career into adulthood, and even hot-wired a go-kart and drove it into the country club pool. It was hinted in Cobra Kai that Kreese could run into Dutch in prison. Tory's lack of a father could be explained by his incarceration -- which could mean it's Dutch. Tory is also aggressive, like Dutch, and this could explain her prior karate knowledge.

Mike Barnes and Tory Both Have Aggressive Personalities

Mike Barnes The Karate Kid

Mike Barnes was Daniel LaRusso's vicious opponent in The Karate Kid Part III. There isn't much evidence to support the theory of him being Tory's father, except for the fact that he has yet to appear in Cobra Kai and the two have similar personality types. In addition to Tory, Mike could also be Miguel's biological father. Mikes Barnes was referenced in Season 4 after Amanda asked Daniel if any other Cobra Kai villains would appear and stir up some trouble. Terry Silver also hinted he could recruit someone from Daniel's past to help with Cobra Kai after Kreese was sent to prison. Although, another sensei was announced to assist Terry in his Cobra Kai scheme.

Terry Silver Could Have Abandoned Tory's Family

Cobra Kai's Terry Silver

Terry Silver was the one who hired Mike Barnes to take down Daniel in The Karate Kid Part III. Terry joined forces with Kreese in Cobra Kai Season 4 until he ultimately turned on him and sent Kreese to prison. Terry is recognized for his ridiculous wealth. Terry used his fortune to bribe the referees in Tory's favor at the All-Valley Karate Tournament.

It's evident that Tory's family has financial struggles, which could mean Terry abandoned them and doesn't give them money. Both of Tory's parents could be people who aren't from the original The Karate Kid film series, but it seems likely they are. Hopefully, fans become aware of several characters' parents in Season 5, which will release this September.

The first four seasons of Cobra Kai are available to stream on Netflix.
