The Savage Avengers have been battling against the ancient sorcerer Kulan Gath for some time, with the fight going to the magical supervillain's favor as all the heroes that assembled against him have been summarily crushed as the madman seeks to conquer all of the Marvel Universe's branching timelines. And as the final showdown against Kulan Gath takes shape, Kang the Conqueror decides to cast his lot with the heroes in a desperate alliance, summoning his own superhero team for one last push to destroy Kulan Gath once and for all.

Black Knight

The Black Knight is seen charging into battle, riding his trusty steed Pegasus while wielding the cursed Ebony Blade. Recently, Dane Whitman reconnected with his long-lost daughter, who also has the same familial link to the Ebony Blade. In addition to coping with the dark cost of wielding the cursed sword, the Black Knight used the same material to forge his own makeshift throne and gain a degree of cosmic awareness whenever he sits upon it.

Natasha Romanoff has had a particularly turbulent time ever since she returned to life following her tragic death during the 2017 crossover event Secret Empire. After Black Widow's death, a version of Natasha has surfaced around the Marvel Universe, eventually revealed to be a clone of the original, with all of her genetic source material's lethal abilities and memories of her past life as she struggles to become her own woman and fight for her own causes.

Daredevil

After Matt Murdock pled guilty to manslaughter after accidentally killing a low-level criminal while patrolling the streets of Hell's Kitchen as Daredevil, he passed his superhero mantle to Elektra Natchios while he served his prison sentence. Elektra has faced plenty of mayhem while defending Matt's neighborhood in his absence, all while respecting Matt's wishes for her not to employ lethal force to keep the streets of Manhattan safe.

Ghost Rider

After ousting Mephisto, Ghost Rider took the throne of Hell as its new king to keep the realm of demons in check under his stern, fiery watch. When demons managed to escape to Earth during the chaos caused by the recent crossover event King in Black, Johnny Blaze reluctantly turned over control of Hell back to Mephisto as he felt he kept the netherworld tighter than he did, returning to his supernatural superhero responsibilities as Ghost Rider.

Cain Marko recently faced a life where he had his magical powers bestowed from the Crimson God Cyttorak stripped from him, a far cry from his time as the unstoppable supervillain Juggernaut. And as Cain struggled to regain his powers, he has recently used his powers and abilities towards good, working for the corporation Damage Control as he seeks to make amends for years of villainy.

Magik

Even before the Marvel Universe's mutant population formed a new mutant community together at the island nation-state of Krakoa, one of the most powerful X-Men was Magik. As Dawn of X has continued, Magik has only continued to add to her already impressive potential, wielding her signature Soul Sword while recently being given a hellish marker by her fellow mutant superhero Cable to add to her arsenal.

Wolverine

If there's lethal superhero action to be had in the Marvel Universe, it's a cinch to assume that Wolverine is somehow involved, as the most deadly of the X-Men is back after previously founding the Savage Avengers. In addition to defending Krakoa with the X-Men, Wolverine has embarked on his own solo adventures, including squaring off against vampires and poised to go on a time-travel epic.
