Have you heard the news? The answer is probably yes. Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan, is getting her own series on Disney Plus, and fans couldn't be more excited! For those that are confused, Kamala Khan picked up the Ms. Marvel mantle after Carol Danvers moved on to being Captain Marvel. It was an amazing move on Marvel's part.

As with any series, there are some plots we're super excited to see adapted,  and there are others that we'd prefer to just skip over altogether. So, here you'll find a list of five stories from the comics we'd love to see adapted, along with the five we're hoping we don't see in the series.

10 We Hope to See: The Origin Story

Ms. Marvel, as many fans already know, is an Inhuman. However, thanks to the tepid reception for the Inhumans series, we're not so certain how Kamala is going to end up being introduced in the MCU. That has left us curious to see how they're going to adapt her origin to fit with the way the Marvel universe is already working.

Of course, this will also give us a good idea of how true they're going to stay to her character. Will she still be a gamer nerd? What about her fanfiction? Her friends? Her family? We need all of the answers!

9 We're Not Hoping For: Civil War II

One of the biggest events that Kamala was involved in was Civil War II. The MCU is still recovering from the first Civil War, and of course, there have been permanent changes to the rooster that'd prevent the origin of the second Civil War.

Plus, there are about a million other reasons why this plot just wouldn't work in Ms. Marvel's series. Yes, we adored seeing the heart and determination of her character in this complex storyline, but just about every other element of the plot makes it less than a great fit for a solo series.

8 We Hope to See: The Inventor

Ms. Marvel talks with the Inventor

One of Ms. Marvel's first major antagonists was the Inventor. If not for him, Kamala would have gone a bit longer before getting pulled into the larger Marvel world – and it was through these actions that the greater Inhumans community became aware of our newest hero.

We'll admit that it's kind of hard to look at the Inventor and take him seriously, but that's also part of what makes his plot so interesting. It really is so easy to underestimate him. Doing so will cost you dearly, though, as Kamala has seen.

7 We're Not Hoping For: The Inhumans

As mentioned above, Kamala Khan is an Inhuman, but thankfully she's managed to stay out of the Inhumans' politics for the most part. That's probably one of the reasons she's managed to survive as long as she has, since the Inhumans don't have the best track record.

While we would love to see Lockjaw make an appearance, we'd rather they avoid the rest of the Inhumans' plots. Especially the wars. As mentioned, Kamala did a good job staying away from that sort of thing, so it'd be weird if they tried to force an Inhumans plot into her series.

6 We Hope to See: Incursions

The Incursions event hit close to home with Kamala, literally. Here, a second reality began to merge and collapse with Earth 616, and a lot of it happened within Kamala's home city. She was forced to see her friends and family put at risk, but she stayed strong.

Kamala had to make a choice here. Join in the larger event occurring, or stay at home (Jersey City) and protect those that meant the world to her?  Kamala chose the latter, deciding that the adult heroes could handle the larger scale of events while she focused on everything they'd overlook.

5 We're Not Hoping For: Avengers

Don't get us wrong. We want to see Kamala have a go at being an Avenger, but we want to see it happen in the main Avengers movies. Not in a side series, or somewhere that could otherwise be considered hidden. If and when Ms. Marvel steps up to join the Avengers, we want to see it done right.

We certainly don't want to see her relegated to a supporting part, which would surely be the case if we saw her assisting only within her own series. Her times with the Avengers were certainly enlightening for her, though, there's no doubt about that.

4 We Hope to See: Kamran & Kaboom

Two different antagonists that Kamala went up against actually ended up revealing that they were working together: Kamran and Kaboom. Both characters tried to convince Kamala to join their side of the war, and both are likely the reason why Kamala tends to not trust other Inhumans and their chicanery.

You see, Kamran and Kaboom went as far as to kidnap Kamala's elder brother and try to use him as leverage. They also exposed him to the Terragen mists, assuming (correctly) that if she was an Inhuman, so was her brother. This whole ordeal rocked Kamala's confidence and emotional state. This storyline would give the show a very gritty, psychological angle.

3 We're Not Hoping For: Bruno's Time in Wakanda

Okay, we'll be the first to admit that the time Bruno (Kamala's best friend/it's complicated) spent in Wakanda was absolutely fascinating. As we mentioned above, however, we want this series to be about Kamala. So, let's not take any side-quests involving secondary characters. At least not for the first season or two, okay?

Bruno went to Wakanda after he was seriously injured. They ended up helping him learn to use the technology needed to help himself. In doing so, he more or less hit a point where he was able to forgive Kamala (as we said, it's complicated).

2 We Hope to See: Interpersonal Turmoil

We actually wouldn't mind seeing the whole plot that leads to Bruno getting injured. It starts as a classic teenager superhero plot: Kamala trying to balance out her superhero life, her family life, her school life, and her friendships. Naturally, the ball is going to get dropped.

In Kamala's case, things go truly, horribly wrong. She loses her best friend because of all the hurt feelings thrown into the mix. It doesn't help that Bruno was seriously injured during the course of events. All of this would be great to see, in that it'd remind us that Kamala is human, and still learning how to become the hero she so desperately wants to be. It's all very Spider-Man.

1 We're Not Hoping For: Formation of the Champions

It would actually be brilliant to see the Champions turned into a Disney Plus series. However, as with some of the other things we've cited up above – we'd rather see Champions get its own series. It would certainly have enough plots to run with, without having to rely on Kamala's series to launch.

We really would prefer that the focus stays on Kamala and her brand of crime-fighting. Some cameos from some of the other Champions would be a blast (Miles Morales, Sam Alexander, Viv Vision, etc), though, so we'd totally be on board with that.
