The Spring anime season is here, and it brings with it a fan favorite gem from last year. While there have been plenty of amazing romcoms and Shojos since its release, fans have eagerly been awaiting for the Valentine warfare of the beloved series Kaguya-Sama: Love is War. Since the series last left off, Miyuki Shirogane and the rest of the Student Council helped Kaguya Shinomiya see the summertime fireworks she so desired, simultaneously helping her break out of her shell and connect more with Miyuki.

It was a decent and safe payoff for an entire season of emotional tension, but fans still want more. The question remains: Should they? Given the context of the show, this list will be running down a few reasons why the two are destined to be and a few reasons why they need a couple's counselor.

10 Perfect: Like Minds

The most obvious takeaway between the two is the fact that they're both the elite pillars of the Shuchiin Academy. Kaguya is the daughter of one of the richest and most prestigious families in Japan whose own sense of organization and pride only fuel her legacy. Miyuki is one of the rare students who managed to enter the school through merit alone.

His grades have immediately excelled to the top of his class, and he managed to become Student Council president despite just being enrolled. They're two successful students that could really become a powerhouse couple.

9 Not: Class Differences

While the two may obviously share prestige and mindsets, there is another obvious trait that may keep the two apart. Miyuki's standing in the school is a massive rarity, not just because of his skyrocketing performance, but because he comes from a much poorer background. His grandparents live in the Japanese countryside; and after a string of bad luck, his own dad has had a hard time finding employment.

While he struggles to work a part-time job in addition to school, Kaguya lives in the comfort of her large mansion. There is a history of love beating class differences, but it does play a part in making connecting far from ideal.

8 Perfect: Emotionally Equal

What can supersede their economic backgrounds however and possibly even their academic intelligence is the duo's emotional intelligence. They have none.

Miyuki is a tight-knit boy who's averted from various matters of the heart, whereas Kaguya has lived an incredibly sheltered life. In terms of finding someone that could work at the same pace, the two are practically walking hand-in-hand.

7 Not: Emotionally Immature

With that being said, being emotionally immature can present new challenges. Kaguya's sheltered life has kept her from essentially knowing anything about the human anatomy, leaving her to have the sex talk with Chika Fujiwara. Miyuki, on the other hand, is not much better but is far too confident for his knowledge.

When another student asked for love advice, he tried to fake his way out using vague Shojo tropes. With an inability to really handle their own feelings, how can they ever be trusted with each others?

6 Perfect: Kaguya Wants A Humble Family

A major aid to the emotional dilemma is being able to be another person's emotional puzzle piece. As stated earlier, Kaguya has lived a reserved social life due to her extravagant and incredibly isolated living style. This has kept her from a more homely atmosphere and has made the girl crave the simpler things. In comes Shirogane.

Miyuki may not be the ideal high schooler, but he is grounded enough to have a social media account and ride his bike to school. One of the strongest instances of Kaguya wanting a piece of that life is when she literally wanted a piece of Miyuki's lunch. It wasn't as extravagant as her own kitchen's cooking, but it had much more love in it.

5 Not: Competitive

Some people find that competition is a healthy part of an active, adult relationship. They're wrong. Cooperation is always better. It's just unfortunately not as present in this relationship. In an effort to maintain the very demeanor that has made either of them icons in the academy, Kaguya and Miyuki have made it a competition to see who can get the other to confess their feelings first, i.e. "I Love You" chicken.

While this is appropriate given their characters, it's not really ideal to make the first step of the relationship a prize or that much harder to get. If they're fighting before they're dating, what's gonna happen when they're actually together?

4 Perfect: Kaguya Needs A Friend

As stated earlier, Miyuki has a grounded enough background to mellow out Kaguya's high-class life. And while that's an interesting gesture, what Kaguya really desires is a more loving relationship. Kaguya comes from a strict family that has kept her from various social engagements and events of the outside world.

This has made it hard for her to make friends outside of a fellow elite like Chika or her personal assistant, Ai. Being with Miyuki would be a major opportunity to really connect with someone that she likes and who has grown to like her back.

3 Not: Dishonest

Continuing the trend of the tsundere warfare, Kaguya and Miyuki have done much more than just be competitive with one another. They're also immensely dishonest.

Not only do they refuse to share their true feelings with one another, but they create these convoluted scenarios to further hide their feelings. Kaguya is literally playing mind games with Miyuki, and Miyuki has had to humiliate himself to maintain himself. Honesty is the big trait of a healthy relationship, and they're already breaking it.

2 Perfect: Sense Of Duty

While their feelings for each other may be complicated, they at least show their love for one thing: their school. As the top students in the Shuchiin Academy and the leading heads of its Student Council, the two of them have tirelessly worked to serve their schools.

With an equal sense of honor and duty, Miyuki and Kaguya can really stand against the whole world.

1 Not: Kaguya Is A Little Crazy

While there have been a lot of unhealthy traits on this list, Kaguya may still have a little more. Miyuki just had to simply parry Kaguya's onslaught of sly remarks and schemes. Kaguya, on the other hand, played a direct hand in creating some of the series' most convoluted scenarios.

She planted the movie tickets in episode 1, knowing that she could get Chika to give them to her and Miyuki. In the umbrella episode, she literally slashed her own family's tires just so that she would need a ride home. If there's someone who may want this relationship a little too much, it would be Kaguya herself. Miyuki just needs to make sure that he has speed dial.
