Justified veteran Walton Goggins will star opposite Danny McBride in the HBO comedy Vice Principals.

The Hollywood Reporter adds that Boardwalk Empire alum Shea Whigham, who currently appears on Marvel's Agent Carter, has also joined in a supporting role.

Created by McBride and his Eastbound & Down collaborator Jody Hill, the series centers on Lincoln High School and its vice principals, with McBride playing Neal Gamby, a divorcee who's in charge of discipline. Goggins will co-star as Lee Russell, the conniving vice principal in charge of curriculum who enters into "an unholy alliance" with Gamby.

Whigham will appear as Ray Liptrapp the nice and genuine new husband of Gamby's ex-wife who becomes the frequent target of his hostility.

HBO gave the comedy an 18-episode straight-to series order last spring. No premiere date has been announced.
